The new watering hole boasts cocktails as bright as its décor
Eschewing S.F.’s prevailing wood-and-leather-rich aesthetic for bars and restaurants, Anina—a new watering hole from the team behind the popular Hayes Valley spot Brass Tacks and designed by SVZ Interior Design—is styled with patterned pops of color and large-scale botanical illustrations by Buenos Aires-based muralist Lucila Domínguez. Custom Moroccan-made back bar tiles are a nod to midcentury architect Oscar Niemeyer; drinks such as Piña Spritz, with pineapple rum, banana liqueur, lemon and prosecco, are perfect for leisurely patio sipping, while three citrus-driven punch bowls have you and your friends covered. 482 Hayes St., S.F.; aninasf.com.
