“The owner of this home is a prominent fashion blogger,” says Ziskin. “I wanted the space to be girly and classy but with a touch of contemporary.” The sofa is custom-made in charcoal mohair, the Aztec-inspired throw pillow fabric is from Andrew Martin, and the vintage Barbie print is the client’s own.

In the living room, a seascape by photographer Max Wanger hangs over the fireplace; a pair of leather-and-brass chairs from Arteriors bookend a turqouise shagreen side table; and a chrome infinity coffee table by Andrew Martin takes center stage.

Ziskin custom-made identical sofas and a gray-blue leather daybed for the living room of this Spanish colonial. A limestone fireplace and antique clock add a grounding effect to the airy space.

In San Francisco’s Holy Water bar, Ziskin put glass spirits decanters to work as light fixtures, casting a romantic glow over the scene.

Leather banquettes line the walls of San Francisco’s Brass Tacks bar, where black-and-white architectural photographs and a reclaimed wood floor compete with the cocktails for attention.

“I veer toward clean lines with colorful, layered textures,” says Ziskin, and this varied yet cohesive space, with its amorphous rug, lattice-print upholstered chairs, and Ed Ruscha lithograph is a case in point.

A console with malachite-patterned inlays acts as a stage for exotic horn desk lamps.

A custom coffee table and sofa make a distinguished statement. Ziskin added height to the fireplace wall with alder wood, creating a dramatic focal point by extending it all the way to the ceiling.

The dining room features a custom table by Croft House, butterfly-back leather chairs from Four Hands, an aged iron Fecioli Pendant by David Easton, and a vintage New York subway sign from 1stdibs.
